Skeeter's Trout Flies

Quality Hand-Tied Flies

Poundmiester

The Poundmiester might not look pretty ; but it looks pretty good when it's hanging from the hooked jaw of a big Brown. This ugly bug has its origins in northern New Mexico. I believe it was first fished in the famous "Taos Box" of the Rio Grande ; it's a great fly for larger murky rivers. Fall and winter seem to be when I have my best luck with it. I weight these guys, heavily. Sizes 6, 8 and 10 are best... think big.
