Hairwing Adams
It's August, rivers are low. the trout are spooky. It's time for small flies and 6X tippets (7X?, I hope not) My problem with tiny dries is the same problem everyone has. Where is my fly? I needed a small dry fly that would imitate a variety of bugs and be easy for me to see. The Adams dry fly is a proven fish catcher My addition of a white "post wing" makes it stand out like a beacon. I dress them heavy ; so they float high in fast water. I tie this fly in sizes 16, 18, and 20
